'State of Play Review: Migrants, Cities and the Business Sector'

The Hague Process (THP) has commissioned the State of Play Review.

state of play reviewTthe State of Play Review is a comprehensive survey of existing research on migrants, cities and the business sector. The author of the report, Dr Alfons Fermin, focuses on two key actors in the field of migration: cities and businesses. Both have the potential to act as catalysts of social change and a constructive role to play in shaping migration policy.

The impacts of migration are felt most directly at the local level, particularly in cities that receive migrants and by enterprises that compete for migrant talent. Accessible research-based evidence on migration issues is essential for stakeholders in cities and the business sector to develop more informed and rational strategies. The State of Play Review addresses this need by examining existing research on policies and strategies  that is relevant to migration and its challenges for cities and the business sector across the world. The review is intended to support all relevant stakeholders in cities and the business sector to shape migration policy.
